I used to strive to be perfect before God. As a result, I lived my Christian life full of fear, guilt, shame, and condemnation. I always felt I could never measure up or do enough for God.

I had also learned that all the sins I had committed before I got saved were forgiven, but didn’t know what to think about the sins I committed after being saved. I even thought I had committed the unpardonable sin. This threw me deeper into fear, bondage, and striving. I even started to experience struggles in my sleep.

As I continued to seek the Lord about my struggles, I saw Pastor Prince on television and decided to read his books, Destined to Reign and Destined to Reign Devotional.

My struggles at night continued to worsen; they became very intense and would even continue throughout the day. Then one day, I learned from Pastor Prince’s teachings that the blood of Jesus continually cleanses me. I started to confess Scripture in line with this truth and how I was the righteousness of God in Christ.

I partook of the holy Communion daily, believing that everything I needed was supplied at the cross. I also believed that God could deliver me from the torment in my mind.

Through this period of time, God began revealing His unconditional love to me. I discovered that He loves me all the time and would not retract His love for any reason. This right believing eradicated the lie in my heart that He only loved me when I was perfect.

I kept confessing aloud that I was the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. I also understood for the first time that my heavenly Father sees me perfect in Christ instead of in my mistakes. Hallelujah!

Before, I would continually blame and punish myself whenever I did something wrong. Today, I can rise above self-condemnation because God has forgiven me and is on my side. Wow! What a freedom there is in right believing! My struggles at night have ceased.  

Thank you, Pastor Prince, for preaching the gospel and for sowing this treasure into my life. I watch you every day on television and read your devotionals. I am also currently reading another two of your books.
